It's hilarious how these articles basically confirm that the Russian POV was always correct in every single aspect, yet they alwaxs end in the same delusional Western cope, completely contradicting the first half of the article.

No, the West isn't going to win. It's going to devolve into facist barbarism ravaged by unmitigated climate change.

The article is not even defeatist, it's just arguing that the "good guys" take a more realistic approach to the conflict and not expect the impossible. Be more honest with the public about what the situation is so you can sell a forever war instead of pretending it is gonna be over soon.

Folks are so heavily propagandized about this that they are taking pro-Ukrainian sources trying to secure indefinite commitment to the conflict as Kremlin stooges.

Yeah i noticed long ago, they are cutting up their sources one by one because anything that is breaching their internal narrative of being 150% correct on everything is getting immediately called "Putlerbot", now they are basically only allowing the most nonsensical propaganda outlets like Kyiv Independent and soon will have to cut off even those.

To be fair though, this particular guy i screened is one of the worst libs in entire lemmy and possibly fediverse, every time i see him, he's up with some really awful take.

Eh, this is just a call to be even more hostile and enact Containment 2.0. One weird omission is that in the section how things have changed since the end of WWII, it boasts about Finland and Sweden joining NATO but weirdly ignores the entire former Warsaw Pact (minus Russia, obviously) now being NATO members.
