"Apple & ginger" "Spicy apple"

Why would you try to emulate traditional hot winter drinks in the medium of soda, which is always served cold? That's just a fundamental disconnect right there

Finns have weird priorities that’s for sure. You get free healthcare but one of those soda bottles is probably like €4. Absolutely offensive to my American sensibilities.

Still haven’t found good Mexican/Latin American food in Finland. On more than one occasion I’ve been served crunchy avocados in my food, very unripe. Makes me wonder if they’ve ever eaten a real avocado or even a real taco.

The Asian restaurants tend to be amazing however.

These are from Lidl so it's more like 1,65€ to 2,30€. Protip: stay away from big name brands, that shit will cost you an arm and a leg. Stuff like Pepsi, Coke, Mountain Dew and Sprite is expensive as hell, the same with anything Hartwall, the big Finnish soft drink manufacturer.

Lidl is your friend- their Freeway Cola is legit excellent and on par with Coke and Pepsi. Actually, it's probably just straight-up better than Pepsi now that they have included aspartame even in their non-sugar-free drinks. It's the worst of both worlds!

When it comes to store brand soda, lemon lime is usually a safe bet. Lidl's is good and so is Rainbow's, which is one of the store brands of S-Market and Prisma. I also recommend Rainbow's Festival soda which is a knock-off of Hartwall's Pommac, an apple-y/fruity soda that's marketed as a slightly more upmarket/adult beverage.

Also, remember that you can return most bottles and cans to stores for cash so hold on to those babies! A 1,5 liter bottle is usually worth 40 cents

We gotta import avocados from wherever which probably explains why they're not perfectly ripened. As for authentic Mexican food, we've had Taco Bell for a few years now so I think that's all covered janet-wink

Yeah, let's be honest, you probably never will outside of some South American expat's niche pop-up restaurant in Helsinki.

Also, the one good thing in this succdem hellhole is that non-sugar soda will be cheaper.
