thistles are an herbaceous variety of porcupine and i think they're pretty

Yay! Bloomer thread!
Good news: Some blue banded bees have made a home on the dried out jasmine near me.
I shared some of my writing with my older brother and he told me it was really good and reads just like a published novel. Also, a bunch of the zoomers in my acting class were surprised when they asked my age and I told them I was in my late 30s. One said she thought I was 25. (Immediately after class she pointed out that she was 2 when I was 21 and I felt super old again). Also I gave my sister-in-law an axolotl Squishable because she's recovering from surgery after breaking her foot and she really liked it. So, not a bad week so far.
Cardoon is a wonderful plant, I think it is a thistle. Sure looks like it anyway
Most thistles are edible too which is neat. Don't eat the stabby bits of course.
I have a big bag of cat food that my cat doesn't like so I've been dumping it in the yard for other critters. something is sure eating it. probably deer or racoons
