Tbh all the infastructure building and investment is in coordination and agreement with local authorities . China wont push to build trains over roads or roads over trains unilateraly. Just both at whatever capacity is agreed to in each deal. And they have been building a lot of rails and train infastructure in Africa so obviously they and the governments and people they deal with want and use trains. They also use cars.

I mean the people in this thread implying that thr roads should have been railways instead, not the developers working with local authorities.

I'd bet that most people here couldn't point to Tamale (or even Ghana) on a map without looking it up, but carry on like they know what's best for the place.

That top image is cursed. It looks like one of those awesome elaborate model train setups, but with roads instead of tracks.

The tittle is a joke, if you put this in the middle of downtown as it has happened in many US cities, it's a disaster; but well placed roads are just necessary and good.

I'm glad we're able to talk about this. It disturbs me how many large roads China is building. At the very least it's only 2 lanes in each direction.

? the tittle is a joke.

Roads are cool, the problem is when you put them in the middle of a city, but roads are cool.

      Trains are obviously cooler tho
