Damn 2018? Thats kinda pathetic ...Jacobin really jumped on the anti-China new cold war train on the absolute earliest chance it got lmao. Dont even know if neocons and redditors where even pushing the narrative that early

State department doesnt even have to try with these people, just throw some shit at the wall and the anti-communist "we are the good and democratic guys not like these authoritarians" left will reflexively rush to pick it up and scream it from the roofs faster than any lib

  • Tbh the west would have gotten its way if among the rising contradictions and increased capitalist presense and power the party would have lost its grip over capital or became bought out, slowly subservient to the west and corrput. And honestly that was a trend till Xi. For the Deng Gamble to work long term it means that the party should hold the control over capital and hold an even flawed ideological line without succupting to USSR mistakes . And thats easier imagined than done, and a huge struggle but the CPC seems to be in a good position after all

  • that’s probably a good convo to have

Maybe...never in the form of opinion articles in mainstream bourgeois media website. Even IF this article WAS what you consider a good convo to have , you should still shit on it and not give any credence to it . Cause as a westerner in the middle of a new cold war starting and among insane amounts of sinophobia and propaganda its only a good convo to have when done privately between educated comrades as free as possible from the anti-chinese brainworms and outside the manufacturing of consent machine sphere

  • Does that help build socialism? Does that help socialist movements in the global south? Does that bolster the domestic antiwar movement?

I wonder if the american's left failure to do any that has any connection to do with the rabid anti-communism and rejection of any level headed and nuanced analysis of successfull revolutionary communist strategies and projects behind the vail of anti-communism . And if combating that IS a major step towards doing these stuff and requires arguing and debunking the historical narratives and lies against communism and communist projects .

If Xi woke up tommorrow and banned MacDonalds "for ideological reasons" , they would be replaced with stuff that buy the same amount of meat overall

China has 1.4 billion people and a shitton love eating meat and fast food and the CPC wont unilateraly kick MacDonalds out of the country cause "buying meat bad", sorry my man.

Have heard of "no country was ever socialist cause workers didnt own the means of production directly" before but "no country was ever socialist and no party was ever revolutionary cause they werent anti large meat buyers is a new one"

  • Its distressing that some “leftists” are so insecure of other leftists becoming even slightly disillusioned of electoralism ,specificaly through entryist and ever capitulating socdems, as a good strategy for the left ,that they would start obsessively defending it in response to this fucking comment in the post of a good man’s death

"Legit the best candidate of 2020, man was a hero and braver than any major US politician in some 50 years. Never for a second forgot that the victims of our wars are the people of those countries, and the compassion he felt for them is awe inspiring"

And not just that, trying to make the point of their CORRECT AND EFFECTIVE approach against this man’s lifes work and praxis
