In what I can only describe as an act of pure self destruction, I have reinstalled Dota 2 after not playing for a few years and the community has not changed in the slightest.

I’ve been clean since 7.0 dropped because it became unrecognisable, and I’d been playing since the private beta so was used to drastic change.
To say my life improved significantly would be quite the understatement, so it was a blessing in disguise that IceFrog dropped such a huge turd at a critical juncture in my life.
I stopped playing DotA while it was still a WC3 map.

I love the game but haven't played it at all. Just watching games and streamers because the game is simply too hard for a non-gamer such as myself

The mechanics have changed very slightly, some heroes have been reworked extensively, but basically everything else is exactly the same lmao. It's been fun but only bc I've been making sure to limit my time with it
