God, it's like being a kid again. I haven't played in around 11 years after an unfortunate accident where I deleted my Xbox's entire memory. Call me a casual all you want, but Skyrim really is one of my favorite games. I love that you can spend a whole day going in one direction and clearing out caves and finding random superpowerful items.
I recently completed my ~7th playthrough after taking nearly a decade break.
Skyrim still slaps. Especially if you dive down the modding rabbit hole
Yeah, for all the shit the constant new releases of Skyrim get it really is nice to just settle in every now and then.
I love watching Skyrim 100% more now that Starfield is out. Problems with Starfield: Fast Travel from system to system takes too long and is quite boring. Way too much dialogue, every conversation is as long as an opera. You can’t really use melee weapons effectively, guns are the only viable option. You can’t choose to play as an alien race with different characteristics and abilities. You don’t even actually fight intelligent aliens, just alien beasts and humans, maybe a few robots. Too many skills need to be bought before you can build a cool ship. In fact shipbuilding in general kinda sucks. I also don’t really like the space combat, it’s either a super easy win or impossible to defeat the enemy. I could go on and on, but they rushed Starfield and I will never play the game again, Long Live Skyrim!
If you have a chance to play it modded in VR I'd really recommend it. Totally mind blowing
Being an Electric Mage with mods makes you feel like a God lol
Me: "For my n-th playthrough i will try some new build"
Also me, sneaking with bow again: "Well, fuck"
Finally me, deleting Skyrim and my 250 GB of mods: "Finally free"
In the meantime, @Mzuark@lemmygrad.ml TEMPTING ME AGAIN
Welcome back. I'm a long time Skyrim modder myself. I'm doing a modded playthrough right now myself.
