Get in there and push back against China Bad propaganda.

/r/UrbanHell is one of the better places to push leftist messages on reddit. It's big (600,000+ subscribers) but most comment sections are manageable, and housing conditions/urban development is so fucked up in much of the U.S. that you can find a pleasant amount of support for public housing efforts, even in AES states. "These big scary AES states actually give a shit about their people" is also a great way to get people to question how scary leftism actually is.

Right now? No. In time? Yes I absolutely think people will question why China has everything better than everywhere else. Will the media still be a problem? Of course it will. But the intelligentsia will turn regardless of the media and when the intelligentsia turns you have a very serious problem.

There are several core countries I think will flip or become deep sympathisers and allies. Spain, Italy, Greece, Ireland. The landscape will change greatly over the next few decades.

Basis for this? Are their academics generally better right now?

Class consciousness is considerably higher in them, they all have lefts that are extremely entrenched and successful. The internal pressures within them are strong enough to at least prevent the right from doing their whole "let's unite against China" bit. This is a chunk of the reason that Europe is not marching in step with the US on the issue.

The EU is under the strain of splitting. All of these countries have tearaway potential and the EU has to play the game in a way that does not upset their populations. It is in fact because the EU is not united and is currently so fragile that they can't form a clear front.

Europe is generally marching in step with the US narrative on Xinjiang. The EU have sanctioned Chinese officials. They dumped 5G when the US came knocking. They suspended the CAI agreement.
