As an ignorant American, it’s honestly shocking to learn history.
So, I for some reason thought the G7 (or one of the G[number]s) was the group of the X largest economies or something like that. Turns out it’s not.
So I was on the Wikipedia page for G7, and they mention its founding members.
They mention this Helmut Schmidt guy, and due to communist memes I was like “I bet he was a nazi”.
Well guess what, communist memes wont lead you astray because he WAS a fucking nazi.
And if you talk to Americans (even liberals) they’ll tell you that the DDR was an evil totalitarian regime or some other bullshit. But at least they didn’t let LITERAL FUCKING NAZIS near the levers of power what the fuck man :germany-cool: :amerikkka:
