"On thursday the Left party's threat to fell the government culminated.

The party had given Stefan Löfven a deadline to give the Left Party a positive message regarding free rent prising for newly produced tenancies. When that didn't happen Nooshi Dadgostar [Left Party leader] informed the following:

- The Left Party is now missing confidence for the government. Sweden is in a completly new situation. We will seek the Conservatives and Christian Democrats to bring about a vote of no confidence, she says.

The Sweden Democrats [nationalist party] has, unlike the Left Party, more than the 35 mandates needed to call a vote of no confidence. And they also became the first party to message that they would hand in a declaration of no confidence.

- There are a number of reasons why the government is missing confidence. Among other the proposal of free rent prising, but also questions about criminality, healthcare, pensions. There are many reasons why we need a new government, said the Sweden Democrat's party chairman Henrik Vinge in a press conference.

After that the Christian Democrats informed that they will vote to fell Löfven's government.

- I don't assume there will be a snap election, but if that happens we will welcome it. We want to give the voters an opportunity to speak up, said Ebba Busch [Christian Democrat leader].

When the conservatives also informed that they will vote no to Löfven it was clear that a majority stood behind a declaration of no confidence.

"I am no friend of unnecessary conflicts and row. I prefer a clear course and mature conversation. But this government is built upon completely incompatible agreements. This is about the inner tensions in the basis of the government - and today it became apparant that Sweden deserves a better government", writes Ulf Kristersson [conservative leader] on Facebook.

The speaker says a vote of no confidence against PM löfven will be held on monday 10 o clock.

The Center Party's Annie Lööf has criticized Dadgostars actions.

- I think it is unresponsible of Dadgostar to throw Sweden in to a government crisis. This shows why the fringes should not have responsiblitity. What happens next can't be predicted by anyone today, that will have to be put on the Left Party and dadgostar. I assume that she has spoken with Jimmie Åkesson [Sweden Democrat leader] about which government they want to see instead, says Lööf in font of a press contingent in parliament.

16 o clock PM Löfven held a press conference about the new situation. He said it was a dangorous road the Left Party is stepping on to, and sometimes seemed annoyed about their "rash" decision.

- People went to work this mornig expecting the politics to keep working and that we can keep delivering in a hard time for the country. And then you come home and hear on the lunch radio that all of a sudden there is a political crisis. That is what's happening now, short sight, says Löfven.

If all parties act as said, Löfven's government will fall on monday. Stefen löfven stated that he in that case has two alternatives - call a snap election or hand in a demand of dismissal. He has got a week to call a snap election.

But the PM didn't want to speculate about which alternative he will choose.

- I have two alternatives and i will think about them thuroughly. One thing is prioritized then and that is the best for Sweden.

Löfven does not want to discuss an eventual compromise with the Left Party.

- There is no speaking of negotiating on a sidetrack with the Left Party. We have an agreement in the January deal. It will be honored, we shall fulfill it, but what we have right now is an investigation proposal.

Löfven argues that it isnt't market rents that are being introduced. What exists is an investigation report about the rent prising in new production, that would apply to between 0.5 and 1 percent of the rent market, according to the PM.

- The ones the Left Party has allied with however do want market rent. It is completly incomprehensible.

Minister of residence Märta Stenevi says to Aftonbladett that she isn't suprised that the Conservatives, Christian Democrats and Sweden Democrats latched on to the Left Party's action.

- It is no secret that the Christian and Sweden Democrats have been against this government, that has been very clear since the eleciton 2018. So there is no suprise. However, the situation that was triggered by the Left Party's choices will make the situation in Sweden uncertain come autumn. I just hope that we won't end up in a situation where there is a fourth wave of infection, in the middle of a government crisis.

So you think it is iresponsible of the Left Party regarding the pandemic?

- I mean, the pandemic is reality. It has been an incredibly difficult year for many Swedes. Many have lost their loved ones, there are many who have worked to the limit keeping us healthy and safe. Another many people have lost their jobs. It has been a very difficult time. I am not sure a government crisis is what Sweden needs right now.

-I also sense a cerain worry over the fear that has spread among tenants. Therefore it is important for me to underline that as long as we govern there will be no market rent. That is not what is written in the Janurary deal and we would never do that, says minister of residence Märta Stenevi."

TL:DR

The Left Party is keeping their promise of felling the government if they attempted to introduce market rent. The right is onboard because they generally don't like the government. The government is mad and are calling everyone extremists and wreckers. There will likely be a snap election, which will likely benefit the right as this government has been trash.
