Social democratic housing policy in my country consists of:

1. Build more expensive housing
2. People living in cheap apartments is expected to move into the expensive ones.
3. The poor can now go live in the cheap apartments.
4. Demolish public housing with "too many" unemployed, brown people and other undesireds.
5. Just building cheap housing? Sorry sweetie, that would be against the law. But we'll call the expensive housing "affordable" to make it look like we give a shit
