You try can Linux out without installing it(via live USB)? Check this guide but use Kubuntu instead of Ubuntu. You can also try it out via virtual machine.
Also try to switch to cross platform open source programs like these so you'll be able to use the same programs when you switch to Linux
as much as i love linux, people will just stick on their win10 machines, they held out for a decade on win xp, win 7, they'll hold old a bit longer on win 10
this is just the latest in microsoft's continual war against itself
Remember how shit Windows 8 was?
windows 8 was so garbage, it didn't come with drivers that officially supported the hardware on my craptop, so i had to use buggy 3rd party blobs that just so happen to freezelock the bugger every few days
i was supposed to use it to install all the crapware i needed for uni work, but ended up installing linux anyway, thanks microsoft
i think they said they're gonna stop supporting 10 by 2025 or something like that. I wonder how hard they're gonna make it this time to ride 10 til the wheels fall off
linux doesn't have marketing and doesn't come preinstalled on devices so yeah most people will stick with their spyware but we're talking to those who really shouldn't, you know?
oh, for sure, didn't mean to detract from the point, sorry
for the people in the back: microsoft will screw you over every step of the way, pirating microsoft isn't putting a dent into anything, it's making microsoft software be the universal platform which is what they want; they would prefer everyone pirate windows and word to do their work than you install linux and use libre office because at the end of the day, they're the platform holders and you play the same role freemium players do in online MMOs
