Wtf.

I've had the money set aside basically this whole time and have literally just been waiting for the opportunity to simply go in a store and buy them (I prefer to make larger purchases in person whenever possible), but as of today there still seems to be no end in sight.

I know there's a pandemic and shortages of certain electronic parts as a result, but I didn't think it'd still be this bad this far out.

I got my PS5 through the Wal-Mart app using a trick I saw on r*ddit. They release stock on intervals, but if you're in the browser, they'll be gone by the time you hit add to cart. That's also true on the app. But if you keep it open in the app and wait until the next stock drop, you can add to cart right away without refreshing. You just keep hitting add to cart from the page until they drop the stock and it'll let you. Then checkout. Idk, they might have fixed it, but fuck all these scalpers so I hope maybe it works.

Follow this account and turn on notifications. Once a week or so it'll be there on Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. I was able to get one without too much trouble this way

If you are willing, it’s a lot easier to do online. I got my series x a few months ago via GameStop. No luck with a ps5 although I haven’t been trying that hard
