Most celebrate the day of Beltane but I've had more intense experiences with rituals during the night before, hence Walpurgisnacht. It is a balance to Samhain and has some energetic similarities, while maintaining distinct difference.
I use a lot of bonfire in my rituals and it ties well into the pre-christian traditions, as well as paying homage to those that died as I continue the craft.
Walpurgisnacht & Samhain
Not familiar with Walpurgisnacht, any good info on it. Wikipedia mostly describes it as a Christian holiday to burn witches on.
