It doesn’t make any sense, Cinderella didn’t turn into a pumpkin, her carriage did. It’d be more accurate to say “my car is going to turn into a pumpkin” or “my clothes are going to transform into rags and my friends into mice”.

    In the original version from the 17th century, the Fairy Godmother accidentally turns the pumpkin into a pretty lady and the girl into the carriage. It's more of an existential horror story.
