For those of you unaware there's a fascist paramilitary gang called the Guardian Angels that loiter in the New York City subways and streets as vigilante crimefighters. Pic related is running for mayor as a Republican, these fuckers haven't been a thing since the 90s but in 2020 they came back to assault protestors and suck the dicks and vaginas of the NYPD. I for one would appreciate all these beret wearing red shirt motherfuckers to go back to Staten Island, I've have seen to many of these fuckers on my commute that it has become an issue.

Here's some scurrying into the subway like the rats they are

This is Curtis Sliwa, and he runs for NYC mayor on the republican ticket and has been for decades. This guy is literally just a fascist and would run the city like Staten Island's discount Mussolini, all for the benefit of the vast suburban population that survives parasitically off the city.

This dude will never have power, but if he did, we'd be seeing red beret donned whites from Long Island running around NY like brownshirts trying to start fights and harass people.

There's a chronic repost on reddit of these guys on a subway in 80s NYC. They're described as helping little old ladies and people stay safe. It's this photo along with it:

      https://static.messynessychic.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/z_OU-EnwVwvCYqPu_ZnpvuQit2P_UWq1y5rCn7KitqM-930x626.jpg

If you look back at the old photos it does look like a nice, diverse, mutual aid/community defense group. But you also have to consider the context. This is shortly before Bernard Goetz. It's after the vigilante fetishization in response to austerity and urban crime portrayed in mass media.

Plus, consider why they're so prolific. If this was a true community policing group, why are they in 150 cities and even international? Why would the powers that be let them exist in such a way if they didn't benefit the existing police state? This is just free police patrol work and voluntary surveillance. Which is pretty funny given the time they formed. NYC had a huge budget crisis in the 70s and began austerity (corresponding to changing sentiments about economic theory aka neoliberalism). So of course the city welcomed volunteer cops who would patrol for hours and make citizen arrests.

Yea I saw that too but these guys seem to harass random people and pick fights. They are helping no one.

For sure. I got a fash vibe from him in the doc when I was watching it, like they’d rather target the “removed” using/selling drugs than help the community alleviate underlying problems that got them to that point. Like wannabe cops.

I remember these assholes harassing homeless people in my city for a while. I would just scream at them and call them fascists whenever i saw them on the streets, which was a lot since my work took me past their patrol areas frequently. Lol fuckers go to hell!

Yeah I was wondering about this guy a few weeks ago. Seems like an actual fascist, as in he is not of the liberal ideology. The scary kind.

Just a huge mishmash of weird stuff in this guy's past.

Sliwa was born into a Catholic family of Polish and Italian descent, in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
