I've heard people claim that China has a decent democratic system - one that's better at addressing the people's needs than the liberal democratic system we have in the west. Could someone provide me with resources on the way democracy works in China, China's political system, etc.?

yes just the bare minimum you need to glance over it and be like "wait, where is the filibuster???"
historically, IMHO china's failed to telegraph what's they're doing correctly to other countries which is redistribute growth back to the countryside!
How were they going to telegraph this to a Western audience when Western media isn’t going provide them a platform to say things that contradict their own portrayal of China? By buying ad space?
