It's basically what stops you from turning your brain into mush and turning into a zombie if you're a chronic alcoholic. It's stored in your liver and you drain it when you drink too much.
Oats and whole grains, beef, and fish. Black beans as well. If you drink more than your average person eat a lot of one, or all, of these as a habit. I think pork has some too, a low amount, but chicken definitely does not.
It should be an additive to beers but no one has allowed that to happen yet. Look up Wernicke–Korsakoff syndrome if you're wondering what the consequences of not having enough are.

It's never a bad time to start taking care of yourself. I met an old fat guy in the gym the other day who said he already had artificial parts in his heart and all kinds of medical issues. If he can get out there and start working to improve things a bit, so can you. :anarchy-heart:
