Do you love lying to near-total strangers? Do you want to attain the ever-present, unwashable stink of the comedian? Do you hate yourself and take it out on other people? If you've answered yes to all 3 of those questions, we have great (real) news for you!

Applications are now open to be part of the Fake News mod team! We are accepting four (4) junior correspondents in a probationary role. Before we accept anyone, we need to see what you can write. Applicants will be asked to write three (3) stories, consisting of a few paragraphs, about any premise of their choosing.

Stories will be graded on 4 factors:

• Originality of premise (is anyone else writing stories like this?)
• Post content (did you deliver on the post body, honoring your premise?)
• Originality of comedic voice (are you gonna be stepping on anyone's toes thematically?)
• Did you annoy the fuck out of us by asking repeatedly to write for the comm (do I even have to explain this one?)

Applications will be accepted from today, December 14, 2023, to next Thursday, December 21, 2023. The crybaby ban list has been cleared and everyone is encouraged to apply if they so choose. This is intended to be a soft reset of the Fake News style so feel free to go in a completely different direction than us if you want to, the goal here is to be open-minded and less insular.
