Antichrist seems like a really really bad finale for this.

That being said, great calls, Robert Eggers is my favorite newish director and The Lighthouse exteriors were shot about an hour drive from me and the stuff filmed on set was walking distance. Knew Willam Dafoe was in town but he also vacations here, didn't know the dude who made the VVITCH was filming what would become one of my favorite movies of all fucking time right here. I've been where they shot the exteriors. Some of the long shots of a Lighthouse are of a real one from somewhere else nearby, some are models, the big stuff they interact with was constructed. It's still in a crazy windy and harsh place to film but anywhere we've got real lighthouses it's cause theyre in places you need them, so yknow, rocky banks and such. To film at a real one would look fake cause they're modernized but also it would be a death sentence to at least some of the crew. Tourists, kids (teens generally) and drunk guys die every year fucking around by the lighthouses. Stay off the black rocks, folks
