i'm looking for a term basically how capitalism or any powerful class co-opts and appropriates working class stuff to pass it off as more "acceptable" things that bougies can also indulge in and make peace with, and eventually maybe even talk down to others about.
It's a one word term, probably marxist, and maybe starts with a and could end in -ion (no, not appropriation, I said that already)
