We have now officially and openly decided to enter into an alliance against China with a country that hasn't been globally relevant since the 1950s and a country whose leader couldn't even remeber our leaders name. We have given a gigantic middle finger to a country that we send 40% of our exports to. If China wanted to they could obliterate our economy overnight, which I hope they do. Fuck this place. The only 'logical' reason to enter into such an alliance is literally to reinforce western hegemony. There is no other reason to this alliance than that. It makes 0 sense.

Because it's not up to us. The USA doesn't have allies, it has hostages. Step outside the lines and you'll find yourself placed straight back inside. The US wants us to be a weapon aimed at China, so the government implements the USA's wishes.
