Finland being considered the victor of the Winter War would be a hilarious act of copium if it wasn't for how widespread of a belief it is, which makes it just plain sad. Finland lost its second largest city after the war. Imagine how it would be if in a war your country lost its second largest city (Los Angeles for the USA, Birmingham for the UK, Hamburg for Germany...) and think if there would be any way you could ever twist that in your imagination as a victory.
It would be like getting out of a street fight having lost a leg and claiming that you won because you could have lost both and because your adversary got really tired by the end of the fight.
In the US, there's a pretty sizable percentage who refuse to admit we lost Vietnam. I don't know any dumb enough to say we won it, but I feel the mentality is similar: "I didn't lose the fight; I just felt bored after getting my nose smashed in and losing most of my blood."
Vietnam is just the US' version of the "stabbed in the back" myth. WE WOULD'VE WON IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE DAMN HIPPIES!
As a Finn I literally got told in school that Winter War was a "defensive victory" for Finland.
Though soviets took many casualties in that war but I guess it was a rehersal for WW2.

I don't think it's possible to do it without socialism, the fascist conception of national history will remain no matter how many Nazis are eliminated
Russia itself has fascist manifestations but it is controlled and is discouraged in society. In Russian telegram I saw regular posts about Palestinians and children getting killed, people have basic sense towards humanity despite various news about central asian migrant workers having fights with locals and etc. So, yeah without proper socialistic education these things will go on and on.
