About the chains thing, I remember listening to Death Is Around The Corner and Mike makes mention of there being rumours of huge train cars line with shackles and chains on the walls in the US. I wonder what the hell that is about. I asked him how he knew and he said a friend of his that does immigrant outreach said something about it once.

I'm not sure I want to know what that's about.

Germans in the early forties probably didn't want to know what the cattle cars were about either.

It's actually pretty hard to find any info on our own homegrown concentration camps. At least google doesn't really turn much up. I assume whatever goes on there is not very nice but I'm surprised there isn't more whistleblowing.

I think nazi germany didn't have that many whistleblowers either if I remember right. There were rumors of the death camps but it wasn't until the red army pulled up and liberated some that the news got out about the scope and severity.

I think the nature of the work self selects for the kind of people that wouldn't whistleblow.
