This is actually quite good; addresses the western left's obsession with purity and martyrdom without producing a single useful result.
Is there even any form of western left wing political movement engaged in realpolitik, wielding any degree of political power to even call useless at this point?
Didn't any and all western left wing movements as a whole get second-impacted by neoliberalism in the 20th century war between humanity and capitalism? So now the priority is building a movement such that there is something to even call "the western left"?
I haven't watched the video yet but if the creator uses twitter, twitch, or youtube as evidence for these claims, then while they would be absolutely correct, alienated individuals acting based on their own personal opinions cannot be called a "left wing movement".
The KPÖ (Communist Party Austria) in Graz seem to do good real politik, they have a hotline for tenant assistance, cut their own wages to the median(the surplus goes to helping people), are explicitly marxist and got elected as strongest party in the city. Though nationally they're not nearly as good.
The ones in Graz are, IIRC, basically a split. The party stayed together because the national party didn't prevent them from carrying out their agenda, but they're basically two different parties.
Sadly. I hope that other communist organizations in the west will go after the example set by KPÖ graz, living by example and organizing in the community.
