I love the way windows 11 works better on unsupported hardware than it does on offically supported hardware.

    Major Microsoft moment

Won't let me have my taskbar on the side of the window, so fuck Windows 11 anyways.

Rolling with Windows 10 for gaming, and various flavors of Linux for everything else.

That's just ridiculous! It was probably more effort to remove that functionality than keep it!

I'll upgrade from 10 when they force me, which hopefully 11 isn't shit or 12 is out and is actually good(or maybe id get Linux if it's fully usable for everything by then, but im not holding my breath). Never get an OS at launch. Never. Actually, never get any technology at launch.

They'll probably switch naming schemes by that point and instead of calling it "Windows 12," for some weak bullshit reason such as "to avoid third-party legacy shitware mis-identifying your home PC's OS as a Server 2012 because the OS name string has a '12' in it," they'll name it Windows 2026.

Before you use Windows 2026 you must enter your authentication code manually. Copy and paste is disabled. You type Windows 2026ERE5LKL45O29LL54676L88MS5MKJJASDFK34009ASFKDF and you click "enter".

And then Microsoft bricks your computer because you typed "0" instead of "O".

I've spent hours trying to get Windows Update to, well, update. All that happens is I get a variety of errors. And - of course - there's no way to download the fucking shit manually. I have to navigate through Windows and click buttons over and over and hope that this time it actually works. I am so fucking tired of doing this. I'm a man. I'm not a trained organ grinder monkey performing for Microshit.

The next time I buy a desktop - it'll be an Apple or a Unix distro. I am so tired of this shit.

Where do you think Linux needs to improve to get you to switch? Genuine question

I definitely agree it's not amazing for a lot of things (I still have a windows dual boot), but maybe I could point you in the right direction to tools that would make Linux work for you

Gosh, what an unfortunate accident. What with Microsoft being partnered with Intel and all.

LINUX KERNEL updates from about 5.4 through 5.10 brought MASSIVE performance increases to my mobile ryzen 5 APU with integrated graphics.

    SUCK ON THAT Micro$hit!
