The whole thing could be shut down EASY if they they all told management to fuck off

I imagine there's some kind of carrot/stick thing between upper management and engineers. Probably with a healthy amount of bullshit to lubricate their involvement.

I doubt the engineers and the plant workers have any real contract with one another either.
