Yeah. My roomie has the tv on all day and my headphones drown that out if im in my room, with the help of a fan.

I noticed when I hang out with people they always be putting on movies, then not really watching them, or putting on music and not really listening to it, and I'm sitting here pausing the song to read because I need to read something and don't want the lyrics to get interrupted by the words. tails-trolled

Yeah i can do the background noise thing, especially with ADHD meds, but i prefer silence when I'm reading. I put on music/streams/video essays when I do mindless Minecraft mining. And rn i have to deal with my roomie watching TV because my PC is broken so Im hanging out in the living rooming on my phone. Which jsnt so bad except when he turns on a OkCupid stream on his phone and talks to some lady, but leaves the tv running. Thats overstim.

Also when I watch shows i want to focus. I dont multitask with something im watching for the first time Which is why i dont love watching movies or shows with chatty friends unless its something ive seen, or if theyre ok with me pausing and rewinding a lot.
