It's a bit technical, but Game Engine Architecture by Jason Gregory is absolutely fascinating. It is extremely broad in scope and focuses more on what various systems do and how they interact with one another on a high level, rather than the ugly implementation details. Still, it is almost as long as Capital. :curious-marx: It is probably the most comprehensive book on the subject.
