SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — President Sebastián Piñera was impeached Tuesday by the lower house of Chile's congress, setting up a trial in the nation's Senate over whether to remove him due to allegations he favored the sale of a family property while in office.

Sadly the vote in the Senate will fail, so Piñera wont get removed from office, but no president has ever been impeached so this is historic already.

      Yeah this is also really good for the general election in two weeks. Piñera is rocking that single digit approval rating, so the more the conversations now revolves around him, the more the right-wing loses voters (especially all the right-wing parliamentarians who now voted/vote for him in the congress)
