Genuinely stoked for this. As an aside, I remember the Hubble going up when I was a little kid. 2 things I remember distinctly... a lot of Evangelical adults I knew were either extremely critical of the Hubble or outright said it was evil. Because it was supposed to give us a lot of insight into the origins of the universe, and all the adults I knew at the time thought God created the universe ex nihilo about 6,000 years ago.
I also vaguely remember conservatives shitting on Hubble and NASA when it had a few problems initially (I was a weird kid who liked following the news even if I didn't understand it). Of course they all shut up fast when Hubble started working and gave us some incredible images.
I really hope the telescope launches this time. It feels like its been in progress my entire life.
I really hope it doesn't explode on launch. It's really fragile, and that's why they've been taking so long.
Oh shit, it's John Michael Godier, I knew from the title lol. Most comfy voice in space related youtube.
