I like the world, the lore, the characters and the style of FF14, but I find it really stressful to play, mostly because I'm not very good at it, I think. I always feel like I'm letting the team down because I'm not doing enough damage or whatever, even though most of the time nobody says anything. I do trusts when I can because I can go at my own pace and explore the dungeons and learn the mechanics instead of rushing through as fast as possible. I am close to the end of shadowbringers but I took a break after a group I was with was talking shit about me to my face when I tried playing white mage and couldn't keep up. I found a chill FC, but they're all pretty good at the game and I'm too shy to ask them to hold my hand through all the baby easy content.

I'll go back someday to see the story, but it's like, I have enough anxiety about disappointing people irl, I don't need that in my video games too. I kind of wish there was a single player only version like the old FF games. Tellah and Yang never got on my case when I got lost in a dungeon or used a suboptimal strategy.

The trusts are great for doing things solo, I'm glad they're continuing with them in Endwalker. Would be nice if you could do the MSQ trials with them too though.
