It bears no resemblance to the original r/cth, our great moderators changed the site's name because the podcast was too liberal.
Don't get me wrong the podcast basically died with the Bernie Train but the mods here killed the community because they wanted to control it, the thing that made r/cth work as a subreddit was its decentralization, how many spin-off subreddits were there?
How many daily struggle sessions were there that made the sub the beloved dumpster fire that it was?
Hexbear is sanitized, it's the only option and I can understand why so few original posters from the sub remain.
Personally I have a vendetta against this place because it killed a leftist movement (r/cth) by banning anyone who disagreed with the changes, the downvote button being removed, the pronoun tags, locking main as a joke, changing the name, letting the admins just create new accounts so they couldn't be held to any accountability, real shady shit everyone is too afraid of complicit in speaking about.
Pig poop ball ( :PIGPOOPBALLS: )s, sicko ( :sicko-pog: )s, polface ( :le-pol-face: ), wojak ( :doomjak: )s, porkys ( :porky-happy: ) , these memes are still from the sub, they're old and stale and no one here has the creativity to make anything new.
Y'all stagnated like a jar of piss in the summer heat
You're right. That's because it was never about pronouns, it was about hating trans people. Reading through the old threads of that when I first joined the site was just multiple comments of
:cissues:
True from what I remember, sadly; it was just surprising to me how many people were willing to die on that hill on a niche internet board. Shouldn't be considering all the stuff I've seen, but :vivian-shrug:
@Nakoichi just posted a link to the site on r/antiwork and the instant response was a transphobe who looked at the site and then immediately outed themselves because oh no hexbear makes you use pronouns
pronouns fulfilling their secondary task of helping keep the trash out :rat-salute:
lol yeah that was pretty funny
If it makes you feel better, I kind of doubt it was all that many people, honestly. Just think about how many alts this one tantruming terf has made.
It's nice they all outed themselves. Saves a lot of time battling bigots
This is the first place I've encountered pronoun tags and I like it! Too many anonymous social media platforms leave it a mystery and all the users default to assuming that everyone is a "He". That never sat right with me. I grew up with that being the default. You see a bug and your grandma says something like "oh, he's not gonna hurt you"
My mind always went to "how do you know it's a he?"
Glad to see these old systems being gotten rid of.
never seen that emote before. that's a good one.
