It bears no resemblance to the original r/cth, our great moderators changed the site's name because the podcast was too liberal.
Don't get me wrong the podcast basically died with the Bernie Train but the mods here killed the community because they wanted to control it, the thing that made r/cth work as a subreddit was its decentralization, how many spin-off subreddits were there?
How many daily struggle sessions were there that made the sub the beloved dumpster fire that it was?
Hexbear is sanitized, it's the only option and I can understand why so few original posters from the sub remain.
Personally I have a vendetta against this place because it killed a leftist movement (r/cth) by banning anyone who disagreed with the changes, the downvote button being removed, the pronoun tags, locking main as a joke, changing the name, letting the admins just create new accounts so they couldn't be held to any accountability, real shady shit everyone is too afraid of complicit in speaking about.
Pig poop ball ( :PIGPOOPBALLS: )s, sicko ( :sicko-pog: )s, polface ( :le-pol-face: ), wojak ( :doomjak: )s, porkys ( :porky-happy: ) , these memes are still from the sub, they're old and stale and no one here has the creativity to make anything new.
Y'all stagnated like a jar of piss in the summer heat
I mean, it was basically this sub plus a bunch of drama injected by cross-posting trolls and chronically ill-tempered Reddit Admins.
It was nice to get a periodic influx of new blood, because knowing that your opinion resonates is reassuring. But it also came with a lot of spammers and haters, which was more work for the mods, which resulted in a lot of suspicion and fear. The current setup has much better vibes, simply because nobody outside the site throws a shit-fit when CTH hits the front of Reddit's Main.
