I think for newer modern punk they are actually pretty good
I really enjoy bangers like Transgender Dysphoria Blues and True Trans Soul Rebel, but i keep confusing Laura Jane's band with that other punk band that has a really similar name.
I've been loving that album lately. I'm not trans, just going through some major life changes so it fits.
Everything they've released in the past 15 years is extremely boring. Everything before then is good.
Oh, never-ever. Max Payne 3 is exactly why I've been rocking with HEALTH for so damn long
for the most part. Obviously it'd be better if they were arming their fans and unleashing them on the world, but their songs are catchy and I can leave their entire discography on random with very few ⏩.Rise against was kind of my introduction to protest rock before I got into my long term love interest prog rock. As a young adult it was powerful to hear songs talk about socioeconomic issues so openly. I still enjoy listening to them and while growing up they inspired me to be a part of activist efforts, especially after learning/reading about Aaron Swartz. I wish the world felt like something that could be changed, but instead it feels like something that changes you. Best you can do is offer a helping hand and be there for those you care about and occasionally offer a helping hand to strangers when you're able to.
