Only the most stubbornly dogmatic would reject historical materialism, and to do so one would have to engage with both theory disproving it and historical materialism itself. But if there's one thing I know, it's that people who make those claims have zero knowledge of theory to begin with. In any case, marxists reject dogmatism as that is fundamentally non-materialist.
