Here's the article. Really playing the classics here: Oh boy the fascist and the socdem are all the same. Personal highlights:

  • "the convention has become a theatre of wokeness" :agony-shivering:

  • The Communist party are not democrats :flattened-bernie:

  • Why doesnt the left want to drown the Mapuche in a never-ending sea of blood!! 🤬

  • Broooo, trust me, just give the centrists one more chance, just one, come on, brooo, i swear they'll fix all the problems they havent in the last 30 years this time :wojak-nooo:

Gee I wonder who wrote that? Perhaps they’re some sort of economist with an inherent bias.

Gee wonder if there's some global event the past year and a half that could explain some of the instability.

A fair amount of polls say the far right is gonna win. I hope is just astroturf.

Polls here are pretty meaningless since you cant publish polls 2 weeks from the election onwards, meaning that the last debate (in which kast did really bad) and final declarations/scandals are not taken into account.

My guess is Boric wins the first round and then wins the second round easily

Yes you are correct but I whish I could be that optimistic. The Karina oliva scandal was the final thing that killed my expectations(a important leftists politician misappropriated campaign funds to pay her campaign managers and party friends very large sums of money). That being said i still have serious doubt that there is a majority in Chile that would ever vote for a guy like Kast, but he has a serious shot at coming in first tomorrow (Kast has some serious trump-like populist momentum behind him with some things like inflation, immigration and a general wish for "order and stability")

Yeah the Karina Oliva thing is bad but I dont knw if most of the damage will fall on her or on the left as a whole, I wouldnt call it one way or the other.

About kast I get the impresion that most of his momentum is because of die hard followers but also a significant part is because of Sichel voters that got buyers remorse and went for Kast because he seemed more competitive and after last week might see Sichel in a more favorable way. Not saying that all those voters will return to Sichel but I do believe that kast will underperform tomorrow partlybecause of that.
