GG1s are girls, E44s are boys. The current generation of ACS-64s are of course non-binary.

They did have a ridiculously long service, but all their frames are cracked, plus they’re full of asbestos and PCBs, but at least a lot of them are still in existence in museums.
i wish we kept the electrified railroads but just to think how the shitty U.S. power grid would even be able to handle it these days and it's probalbly good they were put out of their misery before they had to see how far we've fallen. :sadness: :train-shining:
This is the northeast corridor, so it’s still electric, though Conrail’s successors have stopped using electric freight locomotives.
