Also, he uses molested to mean harassed (like in a military sense). In Fellowship one of them suggests they stick to the south bank to avoid being molested by orc patrols before they reach Rauros falls.
That's still a pretty common use of molested.
Yea, even more common is the antonym 'unmolested', meaning unbothered, or unhindered.
