    I still can't understand how a parent could care as little about where their kids end up as my father does. I have been alone all my life. Sometimes I look at how my friends were raised and wonder if I would be struggling as much if I had been given basic parenting or support growing up. It's weird mourning the family I could have had.

      Im sorry to hear that. It definitely forces your perspective in a lot of ways. You get to pick your family, but it's still different.

      Same. At least for me, the worst part is hoping that it'll get better and that we'll be a loving family. Gosh of I could just kill the hope I have for my parents, I'd be a happier person.
