not a 4x game, but a strategy game with 4x elements :(
anyone remember that one Dune game from I think the late 1990s, might have been Dune II. it had sandworms and like three factions (Arakkis, Harkonnen, Ordo) and it was pretty good
thats the classic one, the article mentions it as the first his strategy game. i remember playing it and loving it, but had no fucking clue what dune was then. Emperor Battle for Dune is awesome too though, made in 2000 i think.

games with release dates get delayed plenty of time. They could say August 2022 but if they are not 100% sure of hitting that, they might as well wait for a bit.
I'm pretty sure I have a copy of this in the DOS game collection I pirated.
