They seemed to want to talk about the state of the world, and I just kinda rolled with it mostly while giving them a bit of my different perspectives. Dropped a few nuggets like rent-seeking, financialization, etc along with highlighting the repercussions of US Fed policies of past decades coming home to roost.

They eventually pivoted to DEI Harvard President as a sort of cognitive security blanket I think. So I mentioned something about how cancel culture is now going after DEI as a sign of the absurdity of it all, and I think that scrambled thier brain a bit too much to handle. They said something like no one knows what's going on any more. That was the end of the chat basically.

Who knows if it will make any lasting impact, but it was kinda fun to see their expression get more and more disillusioned with the state of the USA in the world.
