Ever since I read about a young Xi trying to build a biogas reactor in a rural community, and it blew up from the pressure build up covering him in shit, I've been thinking this would make an awesome light-hearted film about socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Someone here might know this, but I'm wondering what the criteria he wasn't admitted on was or was it more so because his dad was deemed counter revolutionary and they just wanted to put him through the wringer to see if he was actually serious about it.
