Depends on who built my robot body. If it was built by a private company like Tesla or Microsoft I would say no, because it would probably require constant updates, be full of bloatware, charge me a subscription service for basic shit like opening doors, and would catch on fire a lot. The lithium battery kind of fires that are impossible to put out.

Now if it was a buff Soviet super body designed to effortlessly plough a path in the snow to help my comrades, hell yeah. Let me pick up that sofa for you comrade, I got you.

However, machines tend to have a shorter lifespan than biological entities, so honestly I dunno. lol.

You can get a Soviet super body, but due to shortages you can either requisition long-lasting parts or the fast-moving, high powered ones - but not both.

If you choose a capitalist body, you can have long lasting fast moving parts, but due to the incredible debt you will incur your body will become the property of Elon Musk and you'll have to do corporate espionage on his behalf.

Soviet body, powerful left arm, long lasting everything else (if I can mix and match)

Otherwise I'll take the powerful parts and use my short life to help my comrades

nails are like candy to robots, and we'll eat tires instead of licorice.

:cyber-lenin: From the moment I realized the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.

Captain Murphy does remind me a bit of Joe Biden, though in a later episode he leads a Leninist revolution on Sealab so maybe that's a good thing.

Most of your parts need to be kept cool.

It can be reversible, but the robot is gonna get to control your body while you control the robot's.

Tell you what, get me a cortical stack, and I'll be happy to needlecast my way into a robot body from time to time. Just let me enjoy a meatsuit that works from time to time, and I'll deal with being a robot.

Oh god, that would be horrifying, to have a corporation just assign you a chemical dependency based on marketing and profit margins.

No no no, give me some communism in my sci-fi thank you.

That's why I love Eclipse Phase, the Sci-fi horror setting where the leftists are 100% cool and good.

I fuckin' love eclipse phase conceptually, I would love to get into a play group that's cool with someone who isn't a shithead DM-ing. I tried once and it didn't work out.

I've tried running EP and I worry that I WAS the shithead game master. Not sure I got the setting totally "right". Maybe we could seek out a game together?

Ima give you a hard maybe, depends on the robot. Is it "me" or is my brain being used as a computer or some weird scifi shit?

Yes, but not really. Any real world offers for this would probably be a bad idea to accept for reasons of capitalism. But the actual act I'd be totally fine with.

    Yeah, absolutely.

Bear in mind those who choose to stay human won’t get any mercy during the great robot wars.

No, I don't want my brain dependent on legacy hardware.
