    Absolutely love that valve wrote a wine wrapper and their own clone of winedb instead of contributing to it and just gets the entirety of the credit for it any time someone talks about gaming on Linux.

      protondb isnt made by valve, its community-made. Also the fork is because valve and wine had different focuses.Wine is very focused not borking anything with any addition,im contrast proton incorporates fixes that may work for games,but might bork other programs.Either way they contribute back to wine.
