      I wish they would do a general lockdown for January - like they did at the beginning of the pandemic.

      For now, I know a lot of parents want to keep schools open because it's impossible to work with kids at home. But if there were a full on lockdown with most jobs being postponed or shut down and focussing on the safety of the essential workers, people would be ok with it I think.

        ugh, the small business tyrants in my local sub are up in arms about a potential lock down, "my profits, ive been closed and did not take a vacation this year, now i know how the jews of germany in 1939 felt"

          why are those fucking weirdos so highly represented in geographically based (ie. city or province) subreddits? is that much of our population chuds?

            i think local reddits attract the most reactionaries, but the /r/canada sub is run by literal white supremacists/white nationalists so who knows
