I went down the wrong pipe 3 times, used too short of a drain snake, and probably edged frostbite in my toes. But we are finally free!
It was tree roots. I have kindly asked our tree to stop branching into our sewer line. (ha)
We have a huge tree in our yard right next to the line, and every year we have to rent a 100ft auger to clear it. Cheaper than a plumber. While we really should get it permanently resolved, the cost for tree removal and / or a sewer line repair would be astronomical.
