        Next you're at the store, have a look for Mt Gay. I like the black barrel. It usually costs around $25-35 for a bottle depending on the store.

        Try Cruzan Gold if you can find it. It’s not the greatest but generally considered to punch well outside of its weight class. $16-$17 for a handle around here. https://rumratings.com/rum/254-cruzan-gold

          Great for making shitty high ball mix drinks (rum & cokes). Use it in a fancier drink too and just float a tiny bit of a nice rum on top. Smell is a huge part of taste and that float is going to be wafting right up into your nose.
