I made a double whiskey oldfashioned a little bit ago. Now I'm having a green tea with thc/cbd infused honey. :comfy-cool:
I hope everyone is having a good night. :meow-hug:

I have bad reactions to opiates, and sadly had a similar reaction to kratom. Opiates, and unfortunately kratom as well, make me anxious and restless. I really enjoyed the experience outside of my body's reaction to it.
in a way i'd say you could count yourself lucky for your reaction. opiates always played waaaay too nice with my body and it got me into some trouble years ago. i wish i had discovered kratom long ago though it's about as gentle as an opioid gets and works in such a different way i'd almost call it opioid-like or a psuedo-opioid.
Yeah it's blessing more than a curse. I was born with a physical birth defect that required surgery, and I have life long pain from it. I've had Dr after Dr try to shove pills at me for pain, and lucky for me I can't take them. My ex-wife struggled with an opiate addiction for years and years and I am very aware that it could have been me.
I was kind of hoping that kratom would sneak by and not cause issues since it's different enough. But no luck. I really enjoyed the mellow pain relief, but the restless legs and anxiousness ruined the mood.
kratom acts as a stimulant during the onset so that might have something to do with the anxiety and RLS. part of the reason it's so different and less "mentally slowing" then opioids but could be the reason. best i could suggest is to try a "red leaf" strain before you totally discard it since they tend to have less of the more stimulating alkaloids.
