I really am intrigued by the concept of post-apocalyptic Kirby, it'll probably be a day-one buy for me.

Didn't a different Kirby game just come out? Either way this game looks like a jam.
The last original title was Star Allies in 2018, and there was also a rerelease of Epic Yarn for the 3DS in 2019, maybe you're thinking of one of those?
